There are already some companies in Russia that successfully practice the Industrial Internet of Things in their production. For example, metallurgical complexes introduce auto-accreditation (the process of automatic evaluation of specified parameters and identification of their compliance with the specified product characteristics) without significant costs. Devices are equipped with sensors in the amount of from 4 to 9 thousand. The developed software reads information from sensors and, through data analysis alone, these companies are able to increase the efficiency of the equipment by 5%.
The future of production is on the Internet of Things
Internet of Things is the transmission and storage of information collected from all production facilities in a single cloud system. Sensors installed in the equipment immediately determine its health and prevent breakage.
We are still unable to completely exclude human factor, but we are able to use the digital data in a new way. New options for arranging working environment and workplaces will in turn increase profits.
According to the international consulting company Accenture, the contribution of the Industrial Internet of Things to world production by 2030 would reach $14.2 trillion.
